At Estcourt Primary Academy we strongly believe in listening to all our stakeholders. Parents are a crucial part of a child's education and the wider success of our school. There are a number of ways to let us know your thoughts about our school:

Daily Contact:
Each evening the teachers are on their class doors on the playground.  If you would like to speak to the teacher, please allow them to get all of their class safely to the parents, they will then be available to answer any queries.

Make an appointment:
You may wish to discuss an issue in more depth, we would ask you to either talk directly to your child's class teacher to arrange an appointment or contact the school office who will be more than happy to arrange a suitable time to come in.

Pop-in and chat:
We hold fortnightly pop-ins for any parents that have any issues that they would like to discuss, an example issue might be: I can't get my son to read four time a week- can you help with any  strategies?
These meetings are not kept to a formal agenda. Quite often other parents help each other with suggestions of strategies they have found that works for them. Our next meeting is on Tuesday 27th January at 2:00pm.

Parent Voice:
We hold a half termly meeting for parents to come in and discuss issues relating to the school from a pre-planned agenda. Thank you to all parents who attended our last meeting. The minutes of future meetings will be published below. Please look on this page for the date of the next meeting.  We will change the time and day of the meeting throughout the year so that hopefully as many parents as possible can attend at least one meeting over the year.  This will allow us to speak to as many parents of children in the academy as possible.

Obviously there are many of you that are unable to attend these meetings due to work commitments. Please remember, I am always available to meet with you or discuss anything over the telephone.

If you have any items you would like adding to the next parent voice agenda please let the academy know. The next parent voice meeting will be held on: Friday 13th February 2015

Parent Surveys:
We carry out annual general surveys to gauge parental opinion on the broader aspects of our school and assimilate these views in to our school development plan. Please see the results of the most recent survey on the 'Academy Profile' tab on the website.

Parent View:
Ofsted have their own communication tool which allows parents to record their views about a school. We encourage parents to use this facility to record their views.
