    INDUSTRIAL ACTION – Tuesday 5th July 2016

     

    The National Union of Teachers (NUT) representing some teachers in schools have voted to take industrial action in the form of a one-day strike on Tuesday 5th July 2016.

     

    We respect the teachers’ right to take this action in the dispute they have with the Department of Education.  However, we recognise that this will be disruptive to students’ education and can create problems for parents and carers.  We will therefore try our best to minimise any

    The Diane Blanchard Art Award

    Every summer the Academy holds the Estcourt Art Competition to commemorate the contribution Mrs Blanchard made our Academy during her time with us. The competition will be judged in July and prizes will be given for the overall winners from Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2. Art work can be in any medium: this could be painting, drawing, pastels, crayon, inks, chalks, clay, papier-mâché, and needlecraft, any form of sculpture or collage.   • What an amazing visit!

    On Tuesday 14th June Olympic Athlete James Denny came and visited the Academy! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed his visit as he worked with each class on different circuits and gave an assembly to the whole academy.

    Our sponsored assault course will go ahead in due course.

  • Costello Athletics!

    On Wednesday 15th June children from Year 4, 5 and 6 loved competing in the Costello Athletics Tournament! We competed against many other Academies! Great fun and enthusiasm was had by all who participated! Well done everyone!
