  • Digital Art Awards!

    On Wednesday 15th June, children from Leopards, Meerkats, Tigers and Panthers represented the Academy at the Hull Digital Arts Awards; they did very well coming away with 2 awards and winning a visit to the KC Lightstream Stadium home of HKR.

  • An Olympic Athlete is on his way to Estcourt!

    We are EXCITED to be welcoming GB Athlete James Denny to the academy on Tuesday 14th June.

    James will be leading some energetic fitness circuits with the children and hosting an assembly with a Q&A session to help inspire the children into more sport and exercise. We will also be holding our annual assault course on the same day.

    We are asking the Academy community to help by sponsoring the children in these two events in order to raise funds for Estcourt Primary Academy. All children have been given sponsor

  • Estcourt Academy's Very Own Published Author!

    We would like to congratulate Nicola from the Meerkats class on writing her second published book. Nicola joined our Academy last year when she had already written her first book of her experiences of her life to that point. Since Nicola has joined the Academy we have been extremely proud of her resilience towards her learning and mobility, this is recognised by others as she has been nominated for a national diversity award.     You would like to be kept even more informed about your children's learning, and would like 3 Parents' Open Evenings if possible.

    As a result of this, we will now be having a Parents' Open Evening every term from the new academic year (September 2016).

  • Academy Re-Opens Tuesday 7th June

    Please note, the academy is closed for training on Monday 6th June.

    We sometimes undertake joint training with the other Hull SPTA academies, on this occasion, there will not be any of the admin team on site.

    For any enquiries, please call into the office, or telephone 01482 224336, as usual from Tuesday morning.

    Estcourt Primary Academy will be back open from 8am Tuesday 7th June for the free breakfast club, and from 8:40am for registration.

     

  • Goodbye Chicks!

    F2 have said goodbye to the chicks but have said 'hello' to our snails this week!  In celebration of Hull City getting into the play offs, we have named them Steve and Bruce! They eat cucumber and lettuce so you are welcome to bring them a little snack.

  • Hull F.C Tag Rugby

    Children in Year 3 participated in the Hull F.C. Tag Rugby Festival on Wednesday. It's great to see the children work hard as a team and see their efforts pay off. The staff at Estcourt would like to personally thank all of the parents who came to support. It was great to hear you cheering the children on!

  • Sheffield Games

    4th May 2016

    On Wednesday 4th May children from Year 4 and 5 went to the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield to take part in the SPTA Primary Games and finished a respectable 6th. The children loved being able to compete in such an impressive venue!

  • Digital Art: Monday 25th April

    In preparation for being part of the City of Culture, some of our chidlren enjoyed a Digital Art day with the Children's University. They made apps and videos to promote the Hull Maritime Museum to tourists. The children returned from the visit very enthusiastic and couldnt wait to showcase their work to others. 

  • Brilliant Biathletes!

    On Friday 22nd April, some of our Y4,5 and 6 children represented the academy at the Biathlon Championships at Ennerdale. We are exceptionally proud of all of the chidlren, they showed resourcefulness and resilience... a special mention has to go to the Y4 girls who secured 1st place and GOLD - well done!

  • Easter Activities this week...

    Roll up, roll up...come and enjoy our Easter activities with us...

     

    There will be a musical performance from the children in Y1-Y6 on Tuesday 22nd March at 1.30pm. We hope you can join us.

    On Wednesday 23rd March we will be having our annual Easter bonnet competition for all the children in Foundation ,Y1 and Y2. Children in Y3 –Y6 are having a decorated egg or garden competition. Entries for both competitions should be brought in on the day. Winners will receive an Easter egg.

    From Andy Murray, dodgeball, football to basket ball...fun and resilience was shown by all, and all for a good cause.

    Frogs and Spiders have been sending the Beebots out on a mission into space. Check our blog and twitter for all the pictures. What a fantastic week in year 1! The children made and launched rockets for science week and they had lots of fun!  Butterflies have loved learning all about Tim Peake and space. They enjoyed being scientists by carrying out investigations to find the best material to keep a room dark. All of the children also enjoyed making and launching their own rocket; they would love you to ask

  • Y6 London Visit

    3rd March 2016

    Our Y6 children thoroughly enjoyed a visit to London today with the Children's University: they were delighted seeing the view from the London Eye, they especially loved seeing the main sights such as Big Ben and discovering a lot of information about the House of Lords and House of Commons.

    They still managed to squeeze in some reading on the train for World Book Day too - such dedication!

    Characters galore descended on the academy today for World Book Day 9our thanks go to all of the parents for your wonderful support as usual!)

     

    Lions & Ladybirds created observational drawings of penguins and made penguin clay models.

    Butterflies enjoyed making their own map for a magical adventure as well as painting pictures of butterflies.

    Our own Penguins enjoyed dressing up and taking part in activities relating to our class book Matilda.

    Leopards learned about food chains, habitats and predators and every
