    Wednesday 24th June saw our annual sponsored assault course,it was the perfect day for it as the sun was shining. Not sure who had the most fun pupils or staff!!!

    On Tuesday 16th June Ants,Meerkats & Sharks visited the Hands on History & Hull & East Riding Museums as part of their topic on Ancient Egypt.They learnt all about Mummification and looked at Egyptian Artefacts. They had a fantastic day And we're a credit to the Academy.

    Year 5 went pond dipping on Monday 15th June at The Noddle Hill Nature Reserve,they had a great morning learning all about the creature who live there. The afternoon was spent at East Park.

    Coding Day at Victoria Dock

    All of the children that took part where amazing ambassadors for our academy. The host Head Teacher said “Quick email to pass on my thanks for sending great children and staff today. I have heard super reports of how fabulous the children were and how involved staff were too.” Mr D Kite.

  • Little Devils Kitchen

    Little Devils Kitchen

    3rd June 2015

    On Wednesday 3rd June Little Devils Kitchen visited Year 5. They spent the morning working in groups looking at different aspects of food. In the afternoon they had a basic food hygiene lesson before splitting into 2 groups, the first group prepared the main course whilst the othe looked at front of house,they then swapped over and the second group prepared the dessert. Parents were invited to the restaurant at 3.15 when the children served the meal they had prepared. We had lots of great comments.

  • Academy Closes for Half Term.

    The Academy closes at 3:05 today and reopens on Tuesday, 2nd June.  Breakfast Club from 8am with doors opening at 8:40.

    Year 5 are taking part in a Biathlon organised by Sainsburys School Games at Ennnerdale Sports Centre.

    On Thursday 26th March year 6 went to Sheffield to take part in the annual SPTA Games. A great day was had by all. We finished in 5th place.

    On Thursday 12th March, year 5 visited the Halifax Building Society. They learnt all about the branch and the different roles the employees have, they toured the branch and used their skills to budget money.

    Week 20 at Estcourt and boy have we been busy!

    First and foremost, I’m sure you will join us when we say a huge congratulations to Mrs Benselllam and family who welcomed a new addition to their family – a beautiful baby girl earlier this week!

    Year 6 have had a test week and have shown and modelled amazing behaviour towards their learning.

    The Butterflies have continued to look at space. They have been busy writing their own version of the story ‘The way back home’ by Oliver Jeffers.

    Hull F.C. rugby

    Hull F.C rugby will be coming into school from 16th January for 5 weeks to work with Years 3 & 4, they are looking at how to hold the ball correctly, how to pass and how to play the game.
