    On Thursday 26th March year 6 went to Sheffield to take part in the annual SPTA Games. A great day was had by all. We finished in 5th place.

    On Thursday 12th March, year 5 visited the Halifax Building Society. They learnt all about the branch and the different roles the employees have, they toured the branch and used their skills to budget money.

    Week 20 at Estcourt and boy have we been busy!

    First and foremost, I’m sure you will join us when we say a huge congratulations to Mrs Benselllam and family who welcomed a new addition to their family – a beautiful baby girl earlier this week!

    Year 6 have had a test week and have shown and modelled amazing behaviour towards their learning.

    The Butterflies have continued to look at space. They have been busy writing their own version of the story ‘The way back home’ by Oliver Jeffers.

    Hull F.C. rugby

    Hull F.C rugby will be coming into school from 16th January for 5 weeks to work with Years 3 & 4, they are looking at how to hold the ball correctly, how to pass and how to play the game.

    Thursday 18th December saw our annual Carols around the tree concert. Each class brought their own tree and sat around it. Every class participated including foundation, it was lovely to hear all the children singing their favourite carols.At the end of the afternoon all children received a selection box from Father Christmas.

    On Friday 12th December Meerkats,Ants & Sharks went to the West Yorkshire Theatre in Leeds to see James and the Giant was a fantastic day and the children loved the theatre, a perfect way to finish off their topic work.

    Carol singing at Halifax Building Society

    On Thursday 11th December, group of children went to the Halifax Building Society to sing Christmas carols. We were raising money for both the school and Martin House Hospice.

    On Friday 5th of December we held our annual Christmas Fair, we raised over £600 for school funds, everyone had a great time. A big thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the raffles etc.

  • Carol Singing

    Carol Singing and Bag Packing at Asda

    On Wednesday 3rd December we took 56 children to Asda to sing Christmas carols and bag pack.The choir sang beautifully and we had lots of comments on how good they sounded, we also had comments about how helpful the bag packers were. Thank you to all the parents who came and supported us and to Asda for allowing us to sing/bag pack. All in all we raised over £900 for the school. A massive well done to all involved.

    On Thursday 4th December, Mrs Murray and Mrs Leslie took 14 children to sing for the Lord Mayor in East Park. the East Park Cafe provided lunch for us all, after which we sang several carols to the elderly.
